Hi,
I have a Centris 610, a Performa 6115CD, a LC III, and an original 512k.
The Centris and the LC III work fine; The performa won't boot. I opened the
case and on the far left side of the logic board, there are 2 long brown
slots. According to the picture of the board at MicroMac.com, there should
be some kind of chip in one of these slots. would this keep it from
booting?
Also, whenever I download software from apple, I extract it with Stuffit
and get a file with the extension of "data" (ex:filename.image.data). What
do I do now????
One more: Where can I get a startup disk for the 512? I have opened the
case, and it appears to be signed by some people. It also has some kind of
add on expansion card in it.
Thanks for helping a Mac newbie!!
Darryl Lewis
