Are there any other connectors on the same panel with the BNC?  If 
not you probably have either a video card or, less likely, a 3270 
card.  If it has a DA-15 connector then it probably is an Ethernet 
card.  You could get an 10BaseT transciever to plug in to the DA-15 
(AUI) port.
