> How difficult would it be to fix the exploits by compiling up-to-date
code?

A while ago when I was considering installing AU/X I found a huge list of
all the bugs in it, and a run down of how to fix them -- but I can't seem to
find it.

If you can figure out what exactly might have possible bugs in it, I suppose
you could attempt recompiling those specific parts. The question is, will
it compile correctly on such an old platform? You might have some luck
using gcc for AU/X, but I don't know if it's really worth the time.

I have a Performa 600 laying around; maybe I'll try AU/X on it over break.
But as far as being secure right out of the box, OpenBSD has never had an
exploit yet.
