I have a portrait display and a quadra 605 and I know the display works
perfectly with the computer. However, I have noticed that the cable
occasionally makes a bad connection at the back of the display which causes
the screen to go blank, or remain blank at boot. Wiggling the cable makes
it come good. Perhaps this is the problem with yours?

Adrian.
