Since you have plenty of RAM, I'd recommend OS 8.1.  The little things 
like tabbed / popup folders make a big difference to me. :-)  As far as  
browsers, iCab is probably a good choice since it is still being 
updated. I'd tend to think it would be more likely to continue to work 
well with more "modern" web pages than Netscape 4 or IE 4 would.

When a 68k Mac (Performa 630) was my main computer, I used Outlook 
Express 4 for my e-mail because it generally worked well, was free, and 
most importantly, supported multiple accounts at once.  I know it's a 
Microsoft product, but it was about the only option I had for multiple 
accounts.  :-)  I guess Green does that and is free, but I never could 
get it to work right or remain stable.
