Greetings. I had the question recently regarding trying to connect my LC 
575/OS 8.1to an ISP who assigns IP addresses dynamically. You may recall 
that I was trying to configure TCP/IP "using DHCP server" on a dial-up 
modem.

Thanks so much to the persons who told me that I needed to configure 
instead "using PPP server." This worked! I never knew about this, and it 
explains why I have had similar problems in the past. I just assumed 
that if the IP address was being assigned dynamically by the ISP then it 
would be accessed via a DHCP server. Learn something new every day!
