I'm running 7.1 on a Quadra 605 after running 7.5.3 for a while, and there's a bit of a problem with the monitors control panel.
It's a Q605 with an Apple Multiple Scan 14" monitor on it. Under 7.5.3, the Monitors control panel gives me the option of 832x624 - which works very nicely in thousands of colours. however under 7.1, the only option given is "Macintosh Hi-Res Display" which gives 640x480 - and only in 256 colours. Is there something I can add to 7.1 to get it to recognise the extra resolutions/colours this monitor can handle? I tried using the 7.5.3 Monitors control panel but it tells me that it 'can't be used with this macintosh". I've peeked around at a few utilities like SwitchRes, Multi-Resolutions etc, but they all need 7.6+, which doesn't help. AaR is another util that Adds All Resolutions but it only gives 832x624 with 256 colours... ta for any help :) dana -- unnaturally hosted on a Q605, http://www.danamania.com/ -- -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
