OK,

Of the 2 Q950's I'm going to use the highest spec one. 136Mb RAM, 2Gb drive,
Tape drive. I'd like to max it out and hook it up to my network as a
server/backup/connection to my LaserWriter.

Going through the Service Manual PDF it mentions the 5 (or less) drive
method. I have the cables and spare 2Gb, 425Mb, 230Mb and 120Mb drives.
These smaller ones can be substituted as bigger drives become available on
eBay!

The PDF says to plug the cable into the slot on the SCSI card. Can I still
run this as Mac OS or am I going down the AIX path? That's something I'd
like to steer clear of.

Talking of cards, what sort of value is on the SCSI card? It has all upgrade
slots filled. If it's only any use for AIX it could finance some bigger
drives.

Secondly I have a RasterOps 108 but only a 14" Apple Multiscan and a 14" PC
monitor. Will this card only work on BIG monitors? When I go to Monitors
Control Panel it can see the card and shows a res of 1024*766 but none of
the monitors will fire up when connected to it.

Cheers

Ian
