Although I formerly used alcohol on printheads, I've stopped doing so
because I've seen "DON'Ts" from ColorSpan, who uses HP heads.

I suspect applied alcohol may weaken the bond between the printhead and the
cartridge...this may not be as big a factor when using small quantities of
ink, but over the long term could be significant.
