When I look at a Quadra I see the > $3000.00 mac I could not aford and lusted after for years. I know the exact feeling - especially now, after giving away/helping with a system and being expected to not just service it, but support the little extras!. I've had the cost of a printer cartidge tried on me *AND* a ram upgrade cost. A family member recently went with an ISPs $7/month plan (with 3 hours free and $3.95/hour after) instead of the one I suggested, ($24 for unlimited hours and a hefty download chunk). Now after they've accrued a large bill I'm expected to phone the ISP and explain the 'misunderstanding'!. So partly out of the preservation of my own sanity, and a little of my own selfishness, all my 37 macs and my advice stay mine, and the only one I help with is my mothers' - cos I know I can boss her around. It's a daughter's right :D. Online it's different.
