Hi Steven, I just recently read in the Mac Bible that the power switch is never totally OFF. There is a trickle charge that keeps the PRAM battery charged up. If you don't keep power to the back of the mac it can let your battery run down. Does anybody know anythinng about this?
Don Erdmann, Vancouver, USA <<i unplugged it, let it sit there unplugged for about 3weeks, moved it to another room.......an now no powerup. I've tried many various power leads, 3 keyboards, tested the p/s fuse, jiggled the leads for the keyswitch to board and the p/s to the board, the batt reads 2.4ish volts (fine i think?) i haven't tried to boot up with the ppc card removed yet. ?????? I think that the machine should powerup from keyboard alone. ie. no hds, monitor, periphs, or ram even. is this correct? hope someone can help thanks quadders, from steven.>> ------------------------------------------- Introducing NetZero Long Distance Unlimited Long Distance only $29.95/ month!
