Actually, making a list of your computers and how you use them is fine. But, ... there is absolutely nothing obcessive-compulsive about collecting Macs and computers in general. If you have room, go for it. If you don't have room, then make room. Having 30 Macintoshes in an apartment won't get you evicted like having 30 cats or dogs.
