Hi
I'm preparing some Quads (P475, P630, Q700) for my friends and I'm
going to install a "final version" of the operating system plus some
utility programs.
I'd like to find out which are the last versions of the following
programs that work with Mac OS 7.6.1 on 68k machines. The list with
my version numbers:
System:
Mac OS 7.6.1
Apple Internet Connection Kit 1.2
Fetch 3.0.1
Newswatcher 2.1.3
NCSA Telnet 2.6
Claris Emailer 1.1.4
RealAudio Player 2.0.2
Shockwave FH & Dir 5.0
Updates/Apple:
Appearance 1.0.2
Apple CD-ROM 5.4
Apple Displays 1.5.5
ColorSync 2.5.1
Disk Copy 6.3.3
Disk First Aid 8.2
Apple HD SC Setup 7.3.5.
Laserwriter 8.5.1
MRJ 1.5.1
QuickTime 4.0.3
Utilities:
Adobe:
Acrobat Reader 3.01
ATM 4.0.2
Iomegaware 2.2.1 (driver 5.5; Tools is for PPC)
MacLink Plus 9.0
SCSIProbe 5.1.1
Internet:
Eudora Light 3.1.1
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Netscape Navigator 4.08
Shockwave Flash
Aladdin:
DropStuff w/EE 4.5
StuffIt Expander 4.5
Internet Config 2.0.2
Programs:
ClarisWorks 2.1
I left out QuickDraw GX, QuickDraw 3D and OpenDoc.
Am I missing something? Do the machines have the horsepower to run
all this? (It's a long time since I used one.) The machines will be
used for writing and surfing.
Is there a database that lists the versions/requirements for old programs?
I hope this subject is not too faq.
Thanks
Sameli
