Radio Shack makes some very sticky self-stick velcro that may be of
use. I've used it to hold sledless drives in place before. Also small
speakers on the sides of a monitor. And so on.
I don't know what the cooling issues may be with a 950. Clearly if
you velcro drives in place there must be some clearance for cooling.
Also, you may be able to use 3mm marine plywood scraps to make
standoffs of some sort. It's very strong for its thickness. Find
someone who's building a kayak ...
Lacking that, how about foam-core art board bits?
