Hey all, I'm having mass issues with my Quadra 700 and external AppleCD 300 drive. I've played with every jumper setting I can find, and the Quadra won't boot with the CD-ROM connected. Sad to admit a custom PC is my primary machine so I'm a little braindead about SCSI stuff, so it might just be something I'm completely overlooking. One of the problems I have had allowed the Mac to boot but it wouldn't show the CD-ROM or the interal HD, a Quantum Fireball ST 2gig. Other times the computer will attempt to start OS (7.5) and just freeze after the "Welcome to Macintosh" screen, but if I turn off the CD-ROM it continues to boot. Anybody have any suggestions?
