It does, it is missing the lug-holes at the for the 2 plastic keys, and  
the connector is slightly different (but will almost certainly still  
fit). I'm not sure about the length. Looks a bit long but it might just  
be the picture.

Nope. You could try feeding the +5V trickle over the +5V line on the LC  
to see if it could pickup the sense signal but I doubt it would. I  
would like to know how it is triggered to on if it has no switch. It  
may be on all the time? It might need to be laoded on the trickle line?  
I don't know enough about this sorta thing.
