It did expire. The two options were "Purchase Info" and "Quit". "Purchase Info" does nothing. I'm currently using it by setting the clock back, opening Eudora and setting the clock ahead. When the alerts come up, I wait for the task to finish then hit "Cancel" but this is not a workable long term solution. I can't find any Prefs to Trash either.
