Lemme guess...existing network has autosensing 10/100 equipment on it?

Asante cards are notorious for not working well with auto-negotiating equipment
unless the switch/router is set to 10Base-T-only or a 10Base-T-ony hub is
placed between the card and any autosensing equipment.
