Heat sink grease [R-S #276-1372] not glue, is the preferred material for getting maximum heat transfer from the CPU to the heatsink if you can't find the grey beryllium oxide material to place between CPU and heatsink. Years ago I bought a sheet of the GBO material which doesn't seem to exist in the wilds of Idaho-Utah-Wyoming though Radio Shack had it in TO-3 shape once upon a time.
