Howdy fellow listers;

For about the last 5 years I have used FaxSTF reliably
to recieve hundreds of faxes on a regular basis. I have made
a couple upgrades to newer versions. "Mostly" it has run very
reliably and very predictably. The occasions that have not, are
times like when someone updates to a new fax machine that for
some odd reason does not seem to like to connect properly with
my machine. I can send faxes TO them, but not RECIEVE FROM them.
This has happened with two different businesses now and one is
currently underway with this situation right now.

I ran it very reliably on a 2si for a couple years and then
upgraded to a Q950 about 2 years ago with a stop on another
machine for a bit in between.

One time I believe it had recieved about 900 faxes over the course
of 7-8 months (not unusual number for my business). That seems to
be a very "standard" (good) track record of reliability to work
with for a long time.

Of late, I have been disappointed to find that I am unable to
recieve faxes from a major client who has upgraded their office
to a newer fax machine. (a $69 wonderfax)

Consider this email to be a positive comment on FaxSTF and
also, a request for anyone who can tell me any OTHER programs to
work with besides FaxSTF or valuefax in order to try to recieve
faxes once again from the stray business that I am now
encountering problems with.

Particulars:
Using a Q950 upgraded with a 100 mhz card OR can use a regular
Q950. Using Zoom Faxmodem @ 28.8 and a dedicated phone line for
that situation. Any software would need to either work with that
configuration unless I can find a source for any new modem to try
on the situation.

Thank you all...and...its great to see the "problem children"
made to go away when they can't shush up the flames on list!!!
Hurrah nannys!!!

Don

Vulgarity, insults, flames... not missed at all :)
