Thanks E McCann, the pickle, Mark for your help, Following your advice I checked at a new computer recycler on the Gold Coast. Surprised to find he had a new looking CD Rom, same vintage as the 630, so I picked it up for 15 $ Aus. Will get back to office on Monday and try it.
