Could be a bit of a problem. The 500 series do indeed use SCSI drives, but in order to fit them into the case, they use an adapter to mate up with the "edge connector" in the back of the drive opening. I expect this adapter will only fit on a 50 pin SCSI drive, and you may have a challenge finding one of those much over one or two gigs. You may have better luck looking for a SCSI drive in an external case. I have lucked into some of these in the 15 gig range for $15 (GoodWill finds). A "fully loaded" CD is on the order of 700 meg, so it wouldn't take long to fill up a drive.
