Any SCSI drive connected at either end of the SCSI chain, even if it is the only device connected to the bus, and is internal, will need to terminated. Any devices in the middle of the bus should not be terminated. This can be handled by properly setting the jumpers on the drive, providing the termination resistors are still attached. As for a good model: How much capacity and speed do you need/want and how much do you want to spend? What OS are you planning to use and will you be using one of the onboard SCSI buses or will you be using a Nubus SCSI accelerator?
