Hello everyone; Since there seems to be a relatively quieter time on this list lately, I thought I'd ask about cables. I have several old Macs that at times need to use one printer. I bought a switch box to arrange for that and then bought cables to hook a couple of them up.
To accomplish the hook up properly, I needed a regular ADB printer cable to go from computer to switch box and then a crossover cable to go from switch box to printer. (Might have cable positions reversed and can't look at them well in the dark right now). I need to beg, borrow, buy, or manufacture more of the crossover cables for several machines. Since a moderate level of 'fishing' has thus far proved fruitless for finding more of the crossover cables, I ask the following: Is there an EASY way to take a regular ADB printer cable and simply splice it and rewire it properly to make it work instead of the 'right' cable?
