I seem to remember way-back I used to use an early version of a utility
called 7Tuner to tweak some of System 7's functionality.

One of the best features of the tool was using more ram for file copies,
allowing all the reading and writing of the file to be done in a single
pass, each, instead of reading then writing, then reading again, several
times over.

However, it's been a long time since I used that util and I can't seem to
find it anymore, at least the older version. All of the mirrors have version
2.09, and it no longer has the file-copy speedup feature.

I've found mention of an earlier version, 1.7, but it is nowhere to be
found.

So, here's my question:
does anyone have 7Tuner 1.7 they can email me?

If not, I seem to remember that the author of 7Tuner basically made the app
as a shell for some commonly-known Resedit hacks to the Finder. Does anyone
know a Resedit hack that speeds up file copying?
