I'm not sure there's *any* version of AD that gets along well with 8.x.

FWIW, I had AD 4.x and Deluxe both running nicely on a Quadra 800, OS8.0.
Lotsa fun, but if you keep all the modules, they'll take up a lot of HD
space(15mb IIRC, maybe more).
