I have an Apple Multi Scan 720 monitor. When you first boot it up, the image is solid and well-defined. However, after a few minutes of operation, the image starts quivering. The quivering is most pronounced along the left and right-hand edges of the image area. (The image in the center of the screen is relatively stable.) The image waves left and right (not up and down) in a kind of sine wave that is maybe 1.5 cm in amplitude and 5 cm in length. It is hard to tell the frequency of the wave, but it is large and fast enough to make the monitor unusable.
When I do some things, like change the monitor settings in Control Panels > Monitors, the image stabilizes for a few more minutes, but this is not consistent. Does anyone recognize this behavior? Is it reparable? -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
