I've recently come across a Quadro 950 w/65 megs of ram, a 270 HD. It was being used as a Avid System and has all of the Avid accessories, accept the Avid Drive. Two monitors, Avid DigiDesign-Audiomedia ll card, Atto Technology-SiliconExpress iv card, and two more cards that i have not yet figured out. It is running sys. 7.5 and i have all the Avid software(Media Composer 5.2), as well as all the cables and a Component Video Converter and Distribution Amplifiers. It was using the PowerPro 100 upgrade card, but that bit the dirt. I can run the computer in it factory mode but Media Composer will not start. Do I need the upgrade card to run it. And if so, is it worth the cost? Or should I just be creative with the case.
What's the possibility of turning this mac(at present state) in to a server?
