Al <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
AFAIK, I can only record 8 bits using the normal Apple
hardware and/or Kaboom! Is there any software out there,
7.5 compatible, that records better?
Bernhard Jenny's SoundRecorder is freeware that works very nicely. Email
me if you'd like me to send it to you as a 110KB attachment.
Felt Tip Software's Quick Recorder
<http://www.felttip.com/products/quickrecorder/> is inexpensive shareware.
Sam Burrish <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I assume you're going through the built-in mic port, as
the Quad 66AV doesn't have RCA audio in. IIRC, you're
going to be limited to 8 bits from that port. It's the
hardware, not the software. So with that Mac, you're
going to be limited, no matter what software package
you're using.
Not true! AV Quads are all about 16-bit/44.1 KHz audio. See
<http://www.sims.berkeley.edu/~jwang/cgi/av-faq/Audio/>.
