Since I can't use MacOS 8.0 because of a h/w problem, I use 7.5 with the Appearance 1.0.4 extension, which can be found at a number of locations by doing a Google search of "Appearance 1.0.4". The only problem I found with it, is the "Help Balloons" can screw up the menu's caching buffer in attempting to do a single-click while the Balloon's attempting to render, and at rare circumstances cause a crash (only ONE thing to avoid doing).
