i cannot boot the cd on my quadra 660av it is rather bothersome due to the fact i need os 8.1. i cannot boot into macos 7.6.1 and just install
As was mentioned in a related set of e-mails today about booting a 575 from an OS 8.0 CD, try booting your 660AV normally from its own hard drive, and then insert the 8.1 CD. Follow this by accessing your "Startup Disk" control panel and selecting the OS 8.1 CD. Now when you restart, the OS 8.1 CD should take over and provide you an installation option.
