I’ve run more tests - with Timo’s fix and also older releases
(0.99.24.1 and latest master).

In general, Timo’s patch fixed several issues - but caused other tests
to fail. I assume
this isn’t a new failure, but was always broken. Before Timo’s fix
it was most likely just
“double-broken” making it working correctly again.
Anyway, several issues which are broken back to 0.99.24.1 (and earlier).
I’m starting to look at the issues which are broken in latest proposed
branch (with and without
Timo’s fixes) with BGP. Working on a Git bisect there as these seem to
be the easiest targets to find.
Once we covered these, then I can see how many of the other issues are
still broken.
So, I think Timo’s fix is good, but there is still much more broken.
And for the maintainers: As I’m working on painful (slow) git bisect,
PLEASE NO REBASE of
the proposed/6/ff branch. At least not at this time as it will screw up
my testing.
