Yes that would be very handy. I feel we could have the repo in github
itself and probably have Savannah as backup
Feel free to use our mirrors as well. I’ve started them after some
other projects
started to disappear or become unreliable.
Most of them (the ones in mirror section) are exact read-only mirrors on
purpose.
We do two-way mirroring on some git’s (i.e. our own) between the 2
mirrors
and I do a selective mirror between the main quagga and our quagga on
github [opensourcerouting/quagga] (Selective as exact read-only mirrors
of master and proposed branches, but allowing additional github only
branches which are not mirrored)

Having this on github would facilitate certain tasks, e.g. forks and
pull

large patch...
Ps still think there needs to be a non-gitub based backup in case
someone
decides to start charging for opensource repos...

Hi
I get the following error when i do a git clone. Any one else
facing
this
issue ?
git clone git://git.savannah.nongnu.org/quagga.git

Yes, seems to be some issue with Savannah for the past approx 2
days
where access is spotty.
If you can’t wait, then use our mirrors.
We run a public mirror for Quagga (exact mirrors - update hourly if
Savannah is up)
