Yeah. It needs upgrading. Too out of date for git bz I think! There have been other more pressing issues.

I think it'd be good to gate contributions via BZ. Least, that would allow us to have *one* URL for a patch or patch-train, and all its revisions - and hopefully BZ could provide that (without excessive constrictions on other parts of people's workflows).

No clear favorite on the call, but it became obvious that whatever we pick, it MUST have a good connection to the mailing list.

I think the thing to do is just ensure that any given BZ ID has a link to any relevant list thread + list is aware of BZ discussions. Hopefully that can be automatic at least in the BZ -> list case.
