Just want to make sure everyone is aware that we pulled an RC2 this morning. With the final release being Thursday of next week, this means that only bugs that are deemed "critical" will result in an RC3. Please keep targeting things to folsom-rc-potential is we think they may need to be included in an RC or in a later stable release (at the time of the release, we'll move from using 'folsom-rc-potential' to 'folsom-stable-potential').
Dan ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Thierry Carrez <[email protected]> Date: Fri, Sep 21, 2012 at 9:31 AM Subject: [Openstack] Quantum Folsom RC2 available To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Hello everyone, We created a new Folsom release candidate for OpenStack Network service ("Quantum"), due to a number of release-critical issues. You can find the list of bugs fixed and a Quantum RC2 tarball at: https://launchpad.net/quantum/folsom/folsom-rc2 In particular, this milestone contains the fix for a remote code execution vulnerability that was introduced previously in the development cycle (but not in any supported release), so people running previous Folsom development milestones are strongly encouraged to switch to this version instead. Unless new release-critical issues are found that warrant another release candidate respin, this RC2 will be formally included in the common OpenStack 2012.2 final release on September 27. You are therefore strongly encouraged to test and validate this tarball. Alternatively, you can grab the code at: https://github.com/openstack/quantum/tree/folsom-rc2 If you find an issue that could be considered release-critical, please file it at https://bugs.launchpad.net/quantum/+filebug and tag it *folsom-rc-potential* to bring it to the release crew's attention.
