Hi,
Just a few updates.
*Stable*:
The planned release is on the 29th of the month. In my opinion I think
that we are in very good shape. The situation is as follows:
Pending review:
https://review.openstack.org/#/c/16223/ - patch that enable linux
bridge plugin to have nova create the bridges (enables nova to create a
VM without ethernet type)
https://review.openstack.org/#/c/16386/ and
https://review.openstack.org/#/c/16609/ - db performance issues
https://review.openstack.org/#/c/16610/ - addresses memory for unit
tests (the actual fix is in https://review.openstack.org/#/c/16735/
which needs to be back ported) (I'll do that soon)
*Reviews:*
- l3 agent - looking good. ready to be approved (there were some
problems with jenkins after a rebase)
- security groups and lb - there are some problems here that Nachi
is going to address (some may be a result of the security groups api)
- metadata fix - looks good requires some minor tweaks
*Blueprints*:
- posted a WIP for the bindings API - integrated with LB hopefully
in the coming days it will be added to OVS
If possible it would be nice if we can leverage the LBaaS to support the
DHCP HA and scale. This is pretty simple and will provide us with a nice
solution. I am still thinking of how this can be done with the l3 agent
(it is certainly possible with the load balancers that I have worked
with, just need to know how to do it with the API). I am going to write
a mail to the list in the near future...
Thanks
Gary
