He he, that sounds very similar to discussions at my local MOT place - Ooo what engine is that? - It's not really any one in particular and it only has to meet 3.5% levels - But what engine is it? - er well, that <pointing at bits>, that's 8v fiesta, 16v 2.0 mondeo zetec, auto zetec, rs1800, focus RS turbo, landrover, machine mart, home made - does it go well? - HOOOO yuss! - ok we'll stick the sensor in anyway. - what weight is the car? - for what purpose - brake test - it's at least a tonne, say 1200KG? - ;-)
