Thanks to all involved in organising this venue, especially Vince! Excellent fine warm weather and less "other" cars so time between track access was < 20 mins in most cases, even less around lunch.
The above gave plenty of opportunity to learn about the road-holding capabilities of the new wheels and tyres. On the way up the tyres felt as if they were seriously in need of balancing but by the end of the day sufficient rubber had been laid to the extent that they were much better! Offsets the cost of petrol against tyre balancing! Talking to the guys who marshal the event, Curborough has been given a reprieve from becoming building land due to a misrepresentation of the requirements of Greenfield to Brownfield site usage for new housing in the Lichfield area and possibly a few too many brown envelopes changing hands. Next year should still see it as a venue. Having used both the "Map" and "Picture" options on the map programs, we discovered footpaths and canals in the area - Streetmap provided better details of the footpaths. Trish and the Golden Woofer did a round trip walk of ~ 12 miles in the Fradley Junction area making use of both the footpaths and the towpaths, should any other WAGs be considering a day out in the countryside next year.
