THE HAGGIS HUNT.  QOC Tour of Scotland 2009.

Please note this is a first draft and may be subject to alteration/confermation.
  
Saturday June 20th we are aiming to be at Newark Kit car Show. so B&B or Travel 
lodge on the Sat night.
(tour participants to organise their own accommodation on the Sat eve).
 
Sunday June 21st. It is hoped that as many QOC and IKCC members as possible 
will meet at Newark Kit Car Show, for departure est' at 11am for the tour north 
to the Angel of the North followed by a drive alongside part of Hadrian's wall 
before we pull into our first base which will be The Commodore Hotel in 
Helensburgh on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.( for 
those who may not wish to come all the way down to Newark, we hope to arrive at 
the Commodore at approx' 6pm).
 
Monday June 21st. Tour via Loch Lomond and Inveraray, then along loch Linnhe to 
Fort William. Then west to Balmacara via  the Five Sisters and Loch Duich/Loch 
Alsh. Arriving at The Balmacara Hotel at approx' 5.30pm.

Tuesday June 22nd  Isle of Skye tour, a tour covering a large part of Skye 
including a visit to the Skye museum of Island Life. Then onto Dunvegan Castle 
for lunch. We then return back across the Skye Bridge to the Balmacara via the 
Talisker Distillery at Carbost.

Wednesday June 23rd  Tour of the Wester Ross region, via Glen Carron to 
Achnasheen and Glen Docherty to Kinlochewe. Then Gairloch for lunch before 
returning to the hotel via Glen Torridon and Kishorn.

Thursday June 24th  Tour via southern Skye and the ferry crossing to Mallaig, 
then through Glen Tarbett to the Corran Ferry.
Taking the A82 through Glen Coe to Crianlarich, then back to the Commodore 
Hotel via Loch Long and Garelochhead.
 
Friday June 25th Tour out to Dunoon for lunch then a very sceanic drive east to 
otter Ferry then north along the shore of Loch Fyne before returning to 
Helensburgh for the Final Evening.

Saturday June 26th After our final breakfast we will try to assemble for a 
photo shoot out side the hotel before we all say our goodbys and make our way 
home.
 
We are awaiting confirmation of prices, but accomadation inc' breakfast and 
evening meal for 6 nights is approx' £370 per person.
With Ferry / bridge tolls and group entrance fees around £85. per person. 
Negotiations for group discounts are ongoing, so we may be able to save a 
little on this amount.

We have a 20 car maximum, (assuming 2 per car) as hotel space is limited, so if 
you are interested please contact Andy or myself ASAP to book your place.
