It's great isn't it? An iPod in your car is definitely the thing to have (IMHO), after you get bored of all the radio stations on DAB or just fancy something specific I find it's great. I have my entire music, audiobook and podcast collection with me all the time and all of our cars have got either a factory fitted dock/cable (Mrs Wastell's car) or retro fit units (mine) so that the ipod is tucked away and all controls are via the head unit/steering controls. I originally used an actual doc in the centre console of my 2+2 but found that on hard cornering it could end up anywhere. I now have a flying dock cable as the bespoke car docking solutions were not available at the time. Silly little things I really like, like when turning the ignition off the iPod automatically pauses it and when I get to work it's fully charged to blank out the background office rumble.
Got any pics of your fitment? Get them up to the group :-) Matthew PS anyone want a 40GB iPod?
