Hi, Testing the water a little here. I've basically been blessed with far too many hours at work and not enough time to 'play'. So I'm thinking about selling my 2+2. Some of you will know it, but here are some basic stats
Zetec Turbo powered 2+2, RS Focus turbo etc. Uprated Clutch and LSD MK5 zetec gearbox Megasquirt custom ecu, with wide band lambda and self tuning ability etc. In built boost controller (based on throttle and revs) PWR Charge cooler system Oil cooler - remote filter Switchable power (two positions, wife friendly and 'normal' (gives approx 200 and 250 bhp respectively) Gaz adjustable shocks, standard XR2 springs rear, Quantum springs front (gives best ride height IMHO) 15" alloy wheels Most things that can rust have been removed, shot blasted and powder coated before being replaced including the engine space frame. Lots of other shiny things and uprated things Recarro interior, gauges, centre console, custom door speaker build - very good quality for everything from Prokafiev to Pantera It is very very very fast - to give you a rough idea - it has no trouble keeping up with a Porsche boxster S off the lights. It is, perhaps surprisingly, quite economical if you drive it reasonably - 40 mpg on the last Ireland trip! I cannot claim any credit for the mechanical know how, only the money and never giving up attitude! However over the last 7 years I've come to know and love every nut and bolt on her. Since we finished the turbo conversion, it's generally been kept in a warm dry garage avoiding any possibility of wet or salty days and only comes out to play when the weather forecast is good. As I said I'm testing the water here - I'm not unrealistic and know it is not going to return a reasonable fraction of the time, money and effort invested. However having seen standard 2+2s go for around £2k I suspect we can do a little more than that..
