Depends how you drive it and how well it's setup! If it was setup for mild enrichment on accel and stoeywhatnot on cruise then you should easily get the same.
If you have a habbit of accel as hard as poss and brake all the time it would be much easier to see worse figures. E.g I am sure I could easily get 2-3mpg in a track environment. On the road I get around 40mpg when driving normally. I'm running rich all the time, but only just, it's 'safer' and keeps it cooler. The engine tilt was in conjuction with the short headers and thinner header rail I think. Short ones will not help economy by the way.
