Hi I finally have my 2+2 034 on the road hurrah, passed the mot last
week.
When I checked back it is 8 years since I put it in my garage to do a
few odd jobs! I must admit if I had realised just how much work was
involved in getting it going again I might have thought twice.
Anyway I would like to thank everybody on this site who has helped me
when I got bogged down especially Jim for lots of advice, Mathew for
pointing me towards a new hood, Andy for having that very raspy
powerflow exhaust made which now adorns the car, and Gary for the
throttle pot which was the last piece of the jigsaw. Thanks a lot
guys.
When I took it for a quick pre mot test drive I remembered just why I
liked the thing so much in the first place and came back with a big
smile.
I still have a lot of work to do on the car before I will be happy
with it and confident to drive long distances but maybe we can make it
to Newark.
I am taking my wife out for a meal tonight but she does not know we
are going in the Quantum she has never been in it and has only ever
seen it in the garage so could be a triumph or a disaster.
Stewart
