I have a 2.0 zetec

1.6 diesel gearbox

Manual adjusting clutch pedal ( i unscrew a white button on the clutch pedal
then adjust the position of the clutch then tighten the white button).

Its definately slipping its not normal, well not compared to how it was a week
ago.

The garage will be having it back on monday, they said the old clutch was dead
and the release bearing or plate was bent. I have no reason to think they are
fibbing they do a good job.

Until that time pray for dry weather as its a 7mile commute for me!

Stuart

clutch slipping, no problems with accessing gears and no real slip in 1st or
2nd but if you floor it in 5th it feels like an automatic

Can be a bit difficult to detect slip when using high revs. Have you checked in
conditions that would normally stall the engine?

Can't recall what engine you have but acceleration in top gear is likely to be
fairly stately until you have enough revs to give you maximum torque.

When I first drove RS Turbos I did not dare accelerate hard until I had got up
into 5th. Michael
