Thus possibly  weakening the bar in the process! The difficulty most
builders will have is getting the setting correct prior to the IVA test - I
suspect a portapack gas welding kit brought out during the test will not go
down too well!

Brake systems with dual master cylinders and a balance bar must have all
the adjusting nuts welded to the bar and the thread of the bar welded
along it's length to prevent adjustment.
