Hello Andy,
When I replaced the hood on my 2+2 I bought the double duck kit from
the quantum factory which was 375. It could pre trimmed all that needs
doing is the existing header rail fitted. I wanted professional
fitting so I used a local marine unholster who has done a brilliant
job for a minimal fee.
The double duck material is superior to vinyl as vinyl will shrink and
split under the weather condition. The double duck can be treat with
renovo or autoglym. I use autoglym twice a year for winter and summer
use. The hood us 100% waterproof and has never let me down I would
recommend to anyone. A little more pricey buy worth every penny.

I've been quoted £245 + vat for an Everflex vinyl hood from Don
Trimming (www.donhoods.com) in Birmingham. Don't know how much
delivery is. The Everflex hoods are the Premium Quality Vinyl ones on
their website. They've also sent me a sample of the material & it
seems good quality.

Hi
He charges roughly
£300 delivered for a Everflex Vinyl hood.
£400 delivered for a Mohair hood
I think these prices include VAT but that needs to be checked.
He charges around £200 for a Spitfire Everflex Vinyl hood as a
comparison.
I believe Everflex Vinyl is superior to standard hood vinyl.
I too would like to get one for the price of a MGB hood but I think
that is one of the problems of having a low volume car, at least we
save money on not having to replace rusted metalwork!!!!
