Just been away for a few days in the Q Saloon, had a very strange electrical problem. After about 120 miles, smoke came briefly from the wiper/lights stalk area & the wipers came on permanently, even though I had not used the wipers for days, when the fuse was removed the wipers worked in the Off & Intermittent wipe position's only, I thought that would get us home, but then the wipers stopped working at all until I refitted the fuse, then worked normally, then reverted to the previous fault, so I finished up making up a fused switch to fit instead of the fuse, needless to say after a couple of times all is working OK & we used the wipers most of the journey home. My suspicion is that it's something to do with the parking switch in the wiper motor, By the time I was able to start testing circuits etc. the fault had disappeared. Has anyone had this type of fault or any suggestions as to cause. John
