I use the original brackets and GRP arches - I have had many failures during the 68,000 xtreme miles I have clocked up since 2001. Everytime a bracket fails I weld it back together and add a bit more metal - now it looks so untidy I want to replace the brackets with new....I thought it best to use the new style with the light weight arches but now I am not so sure!
