The steering rack for the coupe as per the build manual was the standard Fiesta rack rather than the XR2 this was because the XR2 was fitted with restrictors. The effect of the wrong rack on my coupe was to make three point turns into 5 or even 7 point turns and doing a U turn around a mini roundabout was not always possible Using wider wheels than standard might make it essential to use a rack that has restrictors to prevent the tyres rubbing but the resulting increase in the turning circle diameter can be a real nuisance.
