cheers both ive done some measuring and from the centre of the crank pulley bolt on the OHV engine (the one that's in it) there's about 10.5" to the subframe
ive offered up the Ashley manifold to the CVH engine and there is at worse about 10" from the centre of the crank pulley (chosen datum as it should be in the same place within the engine bay regardless of engine type) so at worse ill have about 1/2" clearance, should be ok but only time will tell also if anybody has any of the following bits for sale ill be very happy to take them off your hands front right tie bar + mount - on that subject, as I understand it the mount is a different shape than the OHV mount to clear the alternator, if so does it mean a 1.4 CVH mount will fit instead of a 1.6? just trying to broaden my horizon. 1.6 CVH engine to gearbox spacer plate. right hand rear engine mount assembly. alternator brackets . cheers On 19 July, 09:43, Jim Hearne <[email protected]> wrote: > I've not heard of any CVH aftermarket manifolds hitting the subframe, i > think it's a similar distance away to the one in the donor Fiesta. > Some careful measurement from the mounting face should tell you if it's > going to fit. > > Jim > > On 18/07/2010 18:09, jin wrote: > > > > > hi guys > > > firstly big big thanks to Kelvin Chambers (and Charlie the dog) for > > supplying me with many goodies yesterday to help my get my 2+2 back in > > fighting form and better for it. > > > on of the goodies was an Ashley exhaust and manifold, great looking > > bit of kit and I desperately want to get it fitted but ive doubts as > > to the clearance between it and the subframe at the front, does > > anybody have any experience of these and / or any issues? > > > to clarify its a 1.6 CVH and a standard subframe > > > thank you all in advance for any help- Hide quoted text - > > - Show quoted text - -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Quantum Owners Group" group.
